In 2011, I co-founded Redscale Studios with my business partner Tina Blakeney. Redscale was a full-service video production studio based in Shanghai. We specialized in branding and events videos from large-scale marketing campaigns to intimate live performances.
Branding: Hotel Indigo
Indigo is a boutique brand under the global hotel group IHG and prides itself on unique locations and attention to historical and contemporary details of the surrounding area. Redscale created “Neighborhood Stories” videos for each of the Hotel Indigo locations in China, linking the hotel design and facilities with the history and culture of the surrounding city.

A custom animated fully mapped 360 degree multiscreen presentation for the 2013 HSBC golf championships opening party.

JUE Festival
Redscale partnered with organizers Split Works as video partners for JUE festival 2014 & 2015. We created marketing content to advertise the festival, recorded events, interviewed guests and presenters, performed at music events and finally created the wrap up video.

Redscale produced a series of video content for the inaugural exhibition at the Water Pavilion Suzhou Village, including designer profiles, exhibition introduction and associated marketing materials.
VJ services
I learned to VJ through my work at Redscale Studios and went on to perform at a wide range of corporate events, night clubs and music festivals. I have performed with international DJs, bands, and accompanied the Red Bull Threestyle DJ Competition.
This is an example of a simple set for a corporate client. I used a lot of location-specific content suitable for a corporate daytime event celebrating the culture of Suzhou.
